I did some shopping yesterday just to pick up this weeks deals. I went to Walgreens and Jewel-Osco. My total savings for the day was $129.27!

I went to Jewel-Osco to stock up on some more of the great deals going on. I did two transactions and took advantage of five different Catalina Promotions. Here is a list of what I got:

Weekly Savings Plus $5 Challange- March 1st

I had a very busy and productive day of shopping today. I went to Walgreens first and did my $5 Challenge. I only spent $2.61 and saved $84.07. I will list my shopping trip below.

I also went to Jewel-Osco and did some grocery shopping. Jewel is currently running three different Catalina promotions with another one to start on Thursday. In total I did three transactions, I paid $132.15, saved $53.80 with sales and used $74.38 in coupons. I also have $24 in Catalina coupons remaining. That is a total savings of $152.18! It is a good thing we recently purchased a small freezer because I am going to need it after this shopping trip.

Here is everything that I was able to get for only $2.61! I started this week with $4 in Register Rewards.

Priscilla over at MomStaysHomeWithMe has inspired me to get back into the $5 Challenge at Walgreens and CVS. If you have been following me a bit then you know I have done this in the past. Now with a new baby on the way I feel it is a good time to start doing this again and getting my stockpile filled.

The goal of the $5 Challenge is to see how much you can bring home from the drug store and only spend $5 out of pocket. This will be accomplished by shopping sale items and using coupons and Register Rewards or Extra Bucks.
