Priscilla over at MomStaysHomeWithMe has inspired me to get back into the $5 Challenge at Walgreens and CVS. If you have been following me a bit then you know I have done this in the past. Now with a new baby on the way I feel it is a good time to start doing this again and getting my stockpile filled.
The goal of the $5 Challenge is to see how much you can bring home from the drug store and only spend $5 out of pocket. This will be accomplished by shopping sale items and using coupons and Register Rewards or Extra Bucks.
I will try to post this once a week. Please feel free to add your shopping trip.

Have you received the $14.99 rebates even when you used the coupon? I’ve heard it won’t work, but maybe should start trying!

The only problem I saw was that the cut off date was 1/31/09. I still sent it in since Walgreens is advertising it, maybe the rebate card was just old. We will see if they honor it. I figured it was worth a shot.

I sent in for the Bayer meters last month and recieved a letter stating I could not get the rebate since I got it for free with the coupon. Still, your senarios are great, if they honor your rebates, that will be GREAT!!!!
