Emma just loves to do crafts. I have been stocking up on craft supplies for her with all the great back to school sales going on. It is nice to take an afternoon break from all the craziness and just sit with her and make something.
Crafts are not only fun for kids, but they also help encourage self-confidence, creativity, and other valuable skills. FaveCrafts has put together this fun “Summer Crafts for Kids” eBook with 22 different craft projects for kids. These craft projects are the perfect way to keep kids entertained and challenged while out of school, especially on rainy afternoons, and many of the crafts are easy enough for younger children. Another great resource for craft ideas in Nickjr.com. Their projects are great for 2 to 6 year olds and feature kids favorite Noggin characters. Emma and I made Kai-lan lunch bag puppets today. She really enjoyed it and played with the puppets all day.
