fs08064_giftcards_promo1 There was not a lot that I needed from this weeks sales flier at CVS. However I did need to go to pick up my prescription and had a $5 off $25 purchase and over $15 in ECB. So I figured it was a good time to pick up some items that I have been needing but were not on sale.

When I got there I scanned my Extra Care Card to see if any coupons would print. I was very excited to get a coupon for a $25 gift card with any new or transferred prescription. Since I was there to pick up a new perscription I was able to use it and received my gift card. I also asked about the ReadyFill program and received a coupon book filled with $25 in coupons.

I then took all my coupons and gift card and did some shopping. Here is what I purchased:

I do want to mention that normally I would make sure that my total was over $25 before tax when using a coupon. I did not realize that the golf cart was marked down when I cashed put. Fortunately the cashier still took the coupon. However I would not expect it to work like that in the future.

I did want to mention a Freebie this week at CVS that I did not get. This is a 3 Day sale (Sunday, Monday $ Tuesday).

Paper says that the prices range from $3.49 – $14.49. If you stick with products under $6 and use two $3 off coupons then they will be free. The lowest prices I saw was for lip products. They ranged from $5.50 to $7.

This is a great time to start stocking up on school supplies. Many stores are offering some great discounts already. How they normally get you is by offering a couple items extremely cheap, like a penny. Once they get you there then you would normally purchase the rest of your list at full price. However if you start early and start picking items up as you are doing your normal shopping you will save money without having to run all over town.
