Cash Back on Online Purchases
If you shop online at all then you do not want to miss out on another great source to save money- Cash Back rebates. There are many sites out there that will give you up to 30% cash back just by shopping online through their site. You would do your shopping as normal but just make sure to click on the store through the rebate site to receive cash back on your purchase. There are no fees to sign up to the programs or forms to fill out to receive your rebate.
One source to look into on this matter is your bank. I have signed up through Bank Of America for their Add it Up program. National City Bank also offers a point program. You earn points from using your debt card that you can redeem for gift cards. If you use your debt card a lot, the points can add up very quickly.
Another source to receive rebates is through independent rebate sites. Some of my favorites are:
ExtraBux
Ebates: Get $5 just for signing up.
Mr. Rebates: Get $5 just for signing up.
Cashbaq: Get $5 just for signing up.
ShopAtHome: Get $5 just for signing up.
BigCrumbs
I have signed up for all the sites. Then before I purchase anything online I check them all to see who is offering the best percentage back. Make sure to check for discount codes also to add more savings to your purchase.
Here is an example of my latest purchase:
I wanted to buy an ornament at Lenox.com from their Christmas in July sale. I checked all the rebate sites. Most of them were offering a 5% cash back rebate. However extrabux was offering 8%. So I clicked through to Lenox from extrabux.com, entered my code for free shipping ($4.75 savings) and will receive 8% cash back ($1.44). Just by doing a little bit of homework I have saved a total of $6.19 on an $18 purchase.
By spending a little bit of time to check of promotioal codes and cash back rebates before you shop online you will be able to save quite a bit of money. To make things even easier for you, most of these rebate sites list all the available discount codes for you. So next time you are about to make an online purchase make sure to see how much money you can get back through any of these rebate sites.
Be Beautiful For Less
I am actually a big fan of Bare Essentials, but wanted to find a line that was a bit cheaper. I did find cheaper, but the quality was just not the same. Well I decided to try one more time and placed an order at E.L.F. Cosmetics. The prices were so unbelievable, I felt I really had nothing to lose. Most of there makeup is just $1.
Here is what I was planning on purchasing through Bare Essentials:
Foundation $25
Mineral Veil $19
Flawless Application Face Brush: $28
Total: $72
Here is what I ended up getting through E.L.F.:
Mineral Foundation $5
Booster (similar to Mineral Veil) $5
Glow $8
Total Face Brush $1
Smokey Eye Kit (mineral) $12
Mascara $1
2 eye shadows $2
4 eyeliners $4
Manicure Kit (3 polishes) $3
Eye Lashes $1
Total: $42
Shipping: $6.95
Discount code: ELF4U Buy One Get One 50% Off! ($10.50)
Final Price: $38.45
I have been using the makeup for over a week now and am actually very impressed by it. The mineral makeup is very nice. I also really love the make up brushes! Especially the savings of $27.
Wondering how they can sell their products so cheep? Here is what E.L.F. has to say: “We are often asked how we are able to provide our customers with such wonderful products, many for as little as $1. By developing quality cosmetics and the highest standard of service, but using the internet for branding rather than higher-priced advertising media; by sourcing the best ingredients at competitive prices; and by prioritizing our products, rather than their packaging, e.l.f. always provides you with quality and value.” E.L.F. Cosmetics have also been featured in O Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Elle, Glamor and many more.
Today (May 22nd) is a great day to try thier Mineral Makeup because they are having a Two Hour Sale! Between 2 pm est and 4 pm est you can get 50% off all Minerals orders up to $25. Just use the code Mineral50.
If you would like to order something else or just missed the sale I have listed all the other discount codes available.
